Common questions.

The things people ask most. If your question is not here, send it to us — and it will probably end up on this page.

What does GRENVX actually do?

You write down your strategy — the setup, entry rules, exit rules, risk rules and checkpoints — and you log the trades you take. GRENVX reviews each trade against the exact version of the strategy it was taken under, alongside the market conditions at the time, and tells you where you followed your own system and where you did not.

Over time those reviews accumulate into a picture of how you actually trade: the rules you skip, how your decisions change with conditions, and the patterns that repeat.

Will it tell me what to trade?

No, and it is built so that it cannot. GRENVX does not produce buy or sell calls, does not sell signals, and does not predict what a market will do. It reviews decisions you have already made.

Where it mentions a technical concept, it is because that concept is part of the methodology you wrote down — not because GRENVX is recommending anything.

Does it connect to my broker?

No. GRENVX holds no broker credentials, places no orders, and imports nothing automatically. You log trades yourself. That is a deliberate limit on the damage a compromised account could do, and it is also why the reasoning behind a decision gets recorded at all — an automated import would capture the fill and lose the thinking, which is the part GRENVX is actually for.

Why is a screen empty when I have only just signed up?

Every analytical surface in GRENVX has an evidence threshold, and a new account is below all of them. Nothing is broken — there is simply not enough of your history to say anything honest yet. The product tells you which thresholds you are under and what would clear them, rather than filling the screen with figures drawn from three trades.

Is my trading data used to train models?

No. Your strategies and trades are not used to train models, and one trader's data is never used to produce another trader's results.

When you ask for a review or a coach session, the relevant trade, strategy version and market context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce that response. That is the only third party that sees your trading content, and it is set out in the privacy notice.

An AI feature stopped working. Why?

Model usage is metered per account per calendar month, so that one account cannot exhaust the capacity everyone shares. If you have spent the allowance, model-backed features pause until the month turns over; everything else — your journal, your strategies, your performance figures — keeps working. Your account page shows what is left.

How do I get my data out, or delete my account?

Both are on your account page and neither needs anyone's permission. The export hands you everything GRENVX holds on you as a JSON file. Deleting your account removes it and its contents.

There is no soft delete and no restore window: once it is deleted, GRENVX cannot bring it back for you. Export first if you want a copy.

I did not get the password reset or verification email.

Check spam first. If it is not there, ask for the link again — reset links are deliberately short-lived, so an old one will have expired.

Note that the reset screen says the same thing whether or not an address has an account, on purpose: otherwise the form would be a way for anyone to find out who has signed up. If you are unsure which address you used, write to us.

Where does the market data come from?

Market and sentiment series come from Yahoo Finance; macroeconomic series come from FRED, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Neither receives any information about you. Those readings carry no timestamp of their own, so GRENVX shows when it read them rather than implying a freshness it cannot verify.

Still stuck?

GRENVX is a small operation, so you will get a person rather than a ticket number — give it a couple of days. Get in touch.
